Unique Antique Crown Tiara Ring Bezel Set Three Stone Old Mine & European Cut Diamond Band with Halos 18k Gold Stacker Bullseye Target

Back from my Spring Sourcing trip with a big pile of vintage and antique finds. Feel free to follow along on instagram! New listings coming every week for the foreseeable future.

ABOUT:
Been doing this for over a decade and this is a first for me in terms of design. A fun and flexible (in terms of mix and matching wearability) old cut diamond three stone band. The ring has three old cut diamonds - two old European cuts and one old mine cut in smooth and sleek bezel settings. Around each stone is an additional halo for added geometry.

But what I love about it is the gradual arc / curve to the piece that makes it so fun to stack! On the hand alone it looks like a tiara ring or crown ring, similar to a chevron ring but with more of a gradual arch. With that little curve it crowns a diamond or gold band beautifully and can even be nested around rings with a larger center stone. So fun! I wonder if it was a wedding band, part of a set that curved around another ring perhaps? With tidy and well done welds at each shoulder, it is possible it was converted to a ring from something else. I always wish I knew the stories these could tell. But again also interesting to wear alone curving up or down.

I purchased this in the UK but it reminded me of my winter sourcing trip with Mr. Mouse to Bavaria and Prague. We noticed this design a lot in both of those areas, the circular halo forms, and came to learn quickly that it was a popular design for the antique period as it really carried over between cities. I have a pair of earrings listed with a similar design.

Faint 750 stamp inside, the numerical hallmark used in Europe for 18k gold.

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and the pictures can make it difficult to see scale.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:

Size 7 1/4.
The center stone is 4.3mm and about .3 carat. The others are about 2.8mm each. Total carat weight is about half a carat / 0.5ctw. This is an estimate measuring them while set.

The piece weighs 1.8 grams. The ring is 7.7mm north south and sits low and comfortably on the finger. East west measurement of the three stones in their settings is about 15mm.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

The center halo is a bit pulled, slightly out of round but I haven't noticed it while wearing until I study it just now. One end stone is a bit milky, the others with some faint frost here or there but nothing glaring and no dark or inky carbon spots. No chips or cracks, nicks nor nibbles, no frosty flakes of loss, the stones are in excellent condition.

As mentioned there are tidy welds at each shoulder. The shank reads a bit more rosy than the inside of the ring face which is a more yellow gold hue, this is not seen while wearing.

Please also note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
