French Antique Rose Cut DIAMOND Solitaire 18k White Gold Ring Disco Ball Stacker Open Back Engagement Pinky Band

ABOUT:
This little cutie would make the sweetest pinky ring. A French antique crafted in 18k white gold with diamond strap details at each shoulder. These lead up to the prong set rose cut diamond with open back (Which we love to find on rose cut diamonds as they are often closed back and a bit harder to wear.)
All but one prong are in excellent shape so this one is ready for regular wear, although the diamond is a bit thinly sliced as rose cuts often are, more details below. The piece has some nice height and a sturdy setting.
Found in Paris, France with their hallmark for 18k gold and a goldsmith stamp.
Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size 4 3/4
Weight 1.5g
The ring face is 5.8mm north south and stands about 4.8mm tall off the finger.
The diamond is about 4.5mm in diameter, so it faces up at about .4 carat. (Note - Rose cuts are always difficult to estimate because there aren't any great formulas out there for calculating carat weight without removing them and putting them on a scale which I would not do for fear of ruining the antique setting. With the flat backs, rose cuts are spreader with a lower carat weight typically than modern diamonds with pavilions. So it's actual carat weight is less than the face up value.)
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
Some nibbles to the girdle edge of the rose cut diamond with one side that has had a bit of loss with a gap between the stone's edge and the one prong. To the eye and while wearing it doesn't look super chipped or rough but has a nice freeform shape and the other prongs hold the stone very securely so it is ready for regular wear. Pretty good clarity for an antique with a tiny smattering of carbon that is not eye visible and seen only under magnification and then a crystal formation that is slightly eye visible appearing as a circular frosty spot on one edge. With their less "busy" faceting we are able to see through rose cuts so it has a nice disco ball type antique twinkle.
Please also note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
