Vintage 18k Gold Solid Eye Clean .72 Carat Six Stone Older Brilliant Cut Diamond Stacker Band Ring Swirl Bezel
ABOUT:
Here's a fun little stacker! A six stone vintage diamond band with six older brilliant cut diamonds in a row on the finger, divided by little swirl demi bezels for a fun movement. This one can add the sparkle layered with another gold band, or stacked multiple deep with other diamond bands, each slightly different.
Vintage piece found in Paris. The diamonds have the frosted girdle for stones cut in the old way before modern technology.
Beautiful to stack, also interesting worn alone as it has a nice geometry and glow with the bright sparkle of the 6 vintage brilliant cut diamonds.
Found in Paris with the French hallmark for 18k gold. There is also a brand name stamped inside along with 75%, which indicates the percentage of gold, in this case 18k. The stones do have evidence of older cutting methods but no open culets.
Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.
MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6. The diamonds are about 3 to 3.2mm each, all appearing well matching in size to the eye. Estimated carat weight is a little over .7 carat total weight in diamonds.
3.5mm north south.
It weighs 3.1 grams.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
The diamonds are bright and for the most part eye clean with just a few speck inclusions, no dark or glaring carbon and nothing that jumps out. The bezels are in good shape.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
