GEOMETRIC Art Deco 1 Carat Old Mine Cut Diamond 18k White Gold Stud Vintage Earrings Architectural Triangle Bezel Set Milgrain Studs

I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:
What do you see when you look at these earrings? Sometimes I see little angels with wings pointing up. Sometimes I see little bumblebees with the wings pointing down. Sometimes I see just the triangular architectural details of them. But I always see sparkle!

These Art Deco studs are certainly unique in design, again like something out of the pages of the Great Gatsby. Nice size on the earlobe with a lovely texture from the diamond encrusted and milgrain designs. Note there is one clear / white gemstone in the bezel setting of one earring - likely a replacement stone unless it is a case where the jeweler just used what they had available to them because it is actually old cut. This was not noticeable to me when I purchased it until I got home and studied them under magnification to see the wear patterns so it is not noticeable really until you really study it, although once you know, you can seek out the way it reflects the light differently.

Found in France, they are crafted in 18k white gold. The push backs are hallmarked with the numerical hallmark used in Europe for 18k gold, in this case 750.

Sturdy push backs, ready to wear!

Antique box not included. Please note the measurements as I have small hands and it can be difficult to decipher scale from photos, especially with the zoomed images that I am required to present for detail.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
12mm north south and east west.
Combined weight 4 grams.
The three largest diamonds are 3.8 to 4mm, the one white gem 4mm. Seven additional stones on each measuring about 2mm each.

Around one carat in total diamond weight. With the appearance of 1.5 carat including all gem weight with the white gemstone.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
As mentioned, one white gemstone - possibly a clear / white quartz? I noticed it when I was studying it and saw the wear - it has a shard of loss to one edge and some additional abrasions along with a circular flake of loss (and diamonds don't show wear in this manner so that's what pointed it out, it otherwise is well matching in color and form and it is an old cut as well.). The stone still fills the setting completely and is fully round and it is stable, but when you study the surface you can see the unpolished areas. The rest are fun chunky old mine cut diamonds. Slightly varying hues with a bit of warmth. Some natural inclusions and a nibble here or there seen only under magnification. Nothing glaring and no dark carbon.

The backs are nice and tight.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

All items hand picked by me, one at a time from all over the world. All listings individually written by me, and not AI, after studying each piece to discuss its beauties and its ; ) eccentricities (which I am picky to point out).

Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
