Boxed PIAGET Vintage East West MARQUISE Diamond Scalloped Ruby Halo 18k Gold Ring French Navette Cut Stacker

I am selling an assortment of vintage to antique jewelry and rings which I have hunted for and gathered one piece at a time from around the world. Some examples seen in the last photo - thanks for stopping by!

ABOUT:
I love an uncommon setting on a vintage ring so this one with the east west set marquise diamond jumped out to me as a fun stacker! Purchased in France, this vintage find is stamped for its known maker "Piaget" and comes in its Original Box!

The Piaget company was founded in 1874 in Switzerland but they have a significant presence in Paris, including features in boutiques on Place Vendôme. They began in watches before expanding into luxury jewelry. This piece of theirs is actually French made, as evidenced by the French hallmark on the back for 18k gold. It is also stamped inside "750 Piaget" (750 being the numerical hallmark used in Europe for 18k gold.)

The bright white and sparkly diamond is accented by a halo of natural crimson red rubies. With a scalloped outline and a bit of height, it's beautiful alone or stacked.

Its original vintage box IS included. Please note the detailed measurements that I always provide, as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures where I am required to show zoomed in detail.

MEASUREMENTS:
Size 6, Weighs 2.6 Grams.

Ring face is 6.5mm north to south. It stands 4.7mm tall off the finger.
The diamond is about 6.9x3.3mm. Its setting does not allow an accurate depth measurement but estimates by millimeter come to about .3 carat.

The rubies are smaller, about 1.9-2.5mm each.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
When I purchased the piece it was completely covered in buildup and took me several attempts to clean. Now that I have all the gunk cleared away, I can see a bit of texture and some opaque, what appears to be residue on the surface of the rubies. This is not really eye visible at all, but I am not exactly sure what occurred there and was not able to get a sheen on them. It does not appear like traditional abrasions and the stones still have a reflective sparkle, but if you study the surfaces in direct light you can seek this out. I tried to capture this in the photos zoomed on their own and then using the 20 times zoom feature you should be able to see what I am referring to, emphasized much more than it would appear with normal wear.

The diamond has a very faint cloud inclusion under the table that is not eye visible but detectible under lit magnification. No damage to the diamond, very sturdy setting. The inside of the ring face has a riveted fabrication to hold the diamond bezel which is how it was originally made. A unique and colorful sparkler!

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

Many of my listings include group shots – I find the comparisons between pieces help show scale, diamond hues, etc. All items in group shots are inventory, but refer to the website to see what items have sold out and to watch for new listings from the grouping to appear on the home page.
