Antique Old Mine Cut DIAMOND One Carat Five Stone Skinny Band Ring 18k Gold Scrolled Victorian Romantic Gift Stacker Wedding OMC Minimalist

ABOUT:

My lovely lovelies always love these!
Stackable antique five stone diamond band.
This one has five old mine cut stones in a just slightly boat shaped face, propped up to show the scrolling details at each vertical edge but curves over the top of the finger. Beautiful to layer and stack. The classic scrolls extend to each shoulder as well, leading up to the 5 slightly tapered diamonds in a row.

The prongs had been reinforced prior to my purchasing making this one ready for regular / heavy wear as the stones are very sturdily set.

Found in England with their 18CT stamp for 18k gold and a maker's mark.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures.
Antique box not included.

SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Size: 6 1/4
The ring face is 5.3mm north south. It stands 4.6mm tall off the finger and from diamond to diamond is 17mm. I don't remove my antique stones from their settings but measures around one full carat?
It weighs 3.7g.

The center diamond is about 4.1mm, the next pair are 3.7mm and the end stones are about 3.1mm, all being cut on the chunkier side with high crowns.

IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:

As mentioned the setting was reinforced. I think originally they had used a white precious metal to serve as an illusion setting, the little faceted prongs catching the light to look like they were gemset with diamond spacers. The reinforced prongs however were done in yellow gold so the piece reads almost all yellow gold now.

Typical antique diamonds, they each have some faint natural inclusions, a some small icy natural inclusion or single carbon speck here or there. One of the smallest end stones has a frosty / icy inclusion running through one side. The opposite end stone has an indented natural inclusion that leaves a small unpolished crease, but nothing eye visible on that one. Overall - Nothing glaring but they are not all eye clean. Slightly varying degrees of warmth also typical for antique diamonds but a nice glint of sparkle to this skinny ornate stacker. The place I purchased it from estimated it G-H in color and SI in clarity, although the modern scales don't really apply well to antique hand cut stones to be honest.

No chips or cracks or damage to any of the stones.
Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )

I enjoy making my customers happy and matching unique pieces with new homes. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions! It means a lot to me that you are visiting my shop! : )
